The Harry Caray Float

Don Miller & Family constructed this giant Harry Caray Float in the 1990's. Harry won the "Mayors Cup" award in the Palatine Parade, specially created by Mayor Rita Mullins for this particular float. He was also invited to and participated in the "Back to School Parade" in Humbolt Park, Chicago. The Harry Caray float was used in a broadcast by US99 Radio for a fundraiser in the Palatine Target parking lot.  DJ Guitar Gavin locked himself inside of Harry Caray's giant hollow belly until he raised $2,000 for his selected charity, the St. Judes Home for Boys. Over $4,000 wasraised.     After deconstruction due to lack of space, Harry was converted into a mini version of himself, with his big head and a mini body,  and paraded around Wrigley Field on Sammy Sosa Day. Pictures with Harry were in high demand.
